Texterity is putting four of its leading mobile magazine titles in the Apple App Store.  Disney FamilyFun, The Kit, Athlon Inside Saturday and Athlon Inside Sunday are now available on Newsstand, on iOS 5 devices.

Three of the titles (Family Fun, Athlon Inside Saturday, and Athlon Inside Sunday) were featured during the launch of iOS 5. Two others (Family Fun and Athlon Inside Saturday) took spots 2 and 3 on the iPhone’s “featured titles” page.

The #1 spot, for whoever’s asking, was the New York Times.

Texterity is proud to support iOS 5 and Newsstand, noting that all three titles were listed in the “hot” or “featured” lists on the iPad’s “featured titles” page.

According to the digital and mobile publishing company, thanks to Newsstant “these three titles experienced an extraordinary uptick in sessions that in one week surpassed previous cumulative numbers.”

“It was important to us to be in at the ground level,” says Texterity Senior Vice President of Engineering, Adrienne Azaria, referencing her team’s inclusion in an invitation-only preview by Apple. "Newsstand is a revolutionary new discovery platform for publishers on the iOS platform, and we look forward to working with more of them to bring their latest content to iPad, iPhone and iPod touch users."

Texterity says it has been in business with magazine app production for several years now. The company prides itself on producing high quality apps that accommodate RSS feeds, social media connectivity, rich media, and in-app advertising.

“These four publications can now be downloaded from Newsstand in iOS 5, from the App Store on iPad, iPhone and iPod touch … More Texterity titles are being submitted to Newsstand on an ongoing basis,” the publisher said.
