Remember when we gave Digisocial a chance, reporting on its existence with a few jokes about its not-so-original functionality? Well, the social network is picking up steam, and the developers have released version 1.1 for all its users on iOS devices.

Digisocial, described as “a simple way to capture and share the beauty of life with voice and photos,” was briefly the App Store’s #1 Social Network app (around launch time).

“Combine photos & images with HD voice capture to provide the richest, most vivid sharing experience. Allow your moments to come to life,” says the developer with the same name.

Apply various filters to your images and share easily with one-click sharing on Facebook and Twitter. Voice comment on your friends’ posts instantly and tell them what you think. Meet new friends and connect with old ones across all of your social circles,” according to Digisocial, Inc.

Version 1.1 is now available empowering post owners to manage content more freely. You can now delete any comments in your posts, disable comments for your post, and ban anyone for commenting on your post.

Ouch! Guess a lot of people are not getting the feedback they were hoping for, huh?

The update brings more privacy updates too. You can disable notifications from any post, block and report inappropriate content (Post/Comment), block any unwanted users, choose who can see your posts, and delete your account at www.digisocial.com.

Hmm, looks like there’s been some turmoil in the Digisocial ecosystem. Oh well. Believe it or not, there’s more.

Digisocial 1.1 also brings hands-free recording, a simple “Hold and Swipe” to switch voice recording to hands-free mode, improved performance, and bug fixes.

Requirements include iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), iPad, and iOS 5.0 or later.
