Fans of the foul-mouthed John McClane should rest assured knowing that “Live Free or Die Hard,” aka “Die Hard 4” was not the last installment of the franchise – and that a fifth is in the making.

MTV News caught up with the man who made McClane into the cult hero he is, Bruce Willis, and he talked a bit about the upcoming film, which should kick off production in 2011.

For starters, though, he wanted to apologize for using the wrong word when asked at Comic-Con in July if he knew when the film should arrive and he said “it’s imminent.”

As it turns out, Willis got his words mixed up and he’s not ashamed to admit it – and properly apologize for creating confusion with fans and the media.

“I think I might have said the word wrong. I thought ‘imminent’ meant that you have a lot of ‘em [i.e. updates]. So I have to apologize for that,” the actor says.

And, indeed, he does have a lot of updates on “Die Hard 5,” including an estimated start date for shooting and info on the script.

“It’s probably going to happen in 2011,” the actor says. Right now, the first draft of the script has been completed and they are putting the finishing touches to the final version.

“We have a script. They’re making a couple changes right now,” the star explains.

When pressed for more details, Willis plays the coy game and gets his words mixed up again – this time on purpose.

“What it is, and I hope this is the right word, it’s affluent. ‘Die Hard 5’ is affluent. Does that mean any day now? [Expletive]! Then I should stop talking about it,” the actor jokes.

Right now, as we also informed you only a couple of hours back, Willis is promoting his latest action flick, “Red,” also starring Morgan Freeman, Mary Louise Parker of “Weeds,” Dame Helen Mirren and John Malkovich.

The film tells the story of a cell of secret agents who have to regroup after many years into their retirement, to face a common enemy.

To promote it, Bruce put in an appearance on David Letterman’s show the other night, wearing an accessory inspired by Lady Gaga’s 2010 VMAs meat dress: a hairpiece made entirely of meat.

Not only that but, as we also informed you, Bruce even had host Dave take a bit of it to see that it was, indeed, 100 percent natural and “organic.” Top quality. See here for the video.
