P Diddy, Diddy, Puffy, Puff Daddy, these have all been nicknames that Sean Combs has used at one time or another in his professional career, being one of the singers that change their stage names constantly, probably afraid that they are going to wear them out.

The only guy who's changed his name more often than Diddy, sorry Puff Daddy, has to be Prince, but even he has gone back to his original. Maybe Puffy noticed there was something to that because, according to MTV, he's decided to also change back to his first moniker, that he was using back in the 90's.

The singer uses the name Puff Daddy to introduce himself in the teaser for his newest video “Big Homie.” The video features the rapper walking through the aisles of a supermarket and then showing off the usual hip-hop accessories present in just about every video: a big fur coat, lots of bling and a luxury car.

From the looks of things, Puffy has not only brought back his name from the 90's, but also the entire arsenal of props used in hip-hop videos. The short teaser offers the highlights of the new track, which is made in collaboration with French Montana and Rick Ross.

The song is featured on Puffy's upcoming album "MMM," that will be his first release in four years and is bound to be something to write home about. “Big Homie” is going to premiere on Monday, March 31, until which time you'll still be able to refer to Puff Daddy as Diddy.

With all the name changes, one can't but remember the funny skit Ben Stiller did in Puffy's video for “Bad Boy For Life.” In it, Stiller played an irate neighbor who addresses the rapper by saying “Hey, how ya doing Puffy, or Diddy, P Poppa, Poppadiddipop.” So far, he's predicted two of Puffy's names so let's hope that Mr. Combs isn't thinking of turning to Poppadiddipop in a couple of years.

Sensing there were going to be some real confused fans, he took to Twitter to address the issue and clear things up, “For the record, I did not change my name. I always have been and always will be PUFF DADDY! :) Be cool Man lol #MMM #BigHomie RT!!!!”

For those keeping count, Sean Combs has released two solo albums as Puff Daddy, one as P Diddy and two as Diddy. Since the one under Diddy performed the poorest and the ones under Puff Daddy did very well, it's only natural that Sean would want to go back to the name that brought in the most sales.
