Tiny tools provided by the search giant

The Mac's Dashboard is at least one interesting feature included in the Apple computers because it allows the owners to use some interesting and eye-candy utilities to improve the functionality of the system. The Dashboard is accessible through a single button and helps you use widgets like calculators, clocks, translators and even dictionary on your Mac. Usually, these widgets are available as a free download but there are some publishers that are trying to earn money from the tools by allowing users to buy them. Under the title "Amazing widgets for your Mac OS X Dashboard", Apple designed a separate page to allow Mac owners to download numerous widgets from several categories.

Although there are several sources of free widgets, did you notice the tiny utilities provided by the search giant Google? If the answer is negative, you should check this page and download two widgets designed by Google and available for free. As expected, the utilities provide instant access to Google's services, Gmail and Search History being the lucky ones.

This is not the first time when Google is involved in Mac applications or add-ons because the company released several tools compatible with the Apple computers. For example, the search giant also developed Mac editions of Google Earth and Gmail Notifier, two of the most popular downloadable tools ever designed by the company. "Welcome to the Google Mac Dashboard Widgets page. Widgets are mini-applications that you download and install into Dashboard to add new functionality. Have fun using these widgets!" the company said in the description of the widgets.

If you want to install more widgets for your Dashboard directly from Apple servers, you should follow this link.
