Google Hot Trends presents the URLs

I just love the way people don't ever pay attention where they are typing whatever it is they are typing. This is the way many passwords are revealed to the people around you and how it comes to be that you've just find that you can't use your account anymore. This actually happened to me, I didn't strike the TAB key hard enough and somebody that was behind me saw my password and kicked me out of my primary mail address.

I thought that it was just a "me" special, but Google Hot Trends comes to show that this is happening all over the place. In the first 65 queries entered in the search engine, 10 of them are URLs to an exact address. That means that about one in about six people is absent minded when typing in things on the PC; either that or he/she is less of a PC literate that doesn't know what an address bar is and what it does. The third option available is that he/she is looking at the keyboard when writing and doesn't exactly see where it goes.

Basically, that is the downside to the Google influence in the way people perceive the Internet, where everything is filtered through the Mountain View based company's main selling product. It's the thing it was designed for but, nevertheless, a little thought that might enter the process instead of mindless usage of the search engine would be welcomed.

This is the list of the ten URLs and the rankings, as Ionut Alex. Chitu, of the Google Operating System, observed them. Think about it the next time you want to search for something and differentiate from when you know exactly the address where you want to go to.
