This weekend, Australian retailer Dick Smith will be offering the new Nexus 7 32GB with a very nice discount.

Customers can order the slate off Google Play for AUS$339 / $326 / €239, but those making a purchase this Saturday or Sunday from Dick Smith will be able to grab it for AUS$279 / $268 / €196, Ausdroid says.

To make a comparison, other retailers in the country like Harvey Normal are selling the slate for AUS$ 337 / $324 / €237 or for AUS$ 318 / $305 / €224 like Officeworks and The Good Guys.

Now, it’s time for a quick round-up in the specs department. The new Nexus features a 7-inch full HD Display and gets its life force from a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM. Two cameras, GPS with A-GPS support and NFC are also present on board. In the storage department, users will get 32GB.

The Nexus 7 comes shipping with Android 4.3, but it will surely be one of the first devices to get the KitKat update.
