The development team at Blizzard is entering the final stretch of the promotional effort surrounding the launch of the Reaper of Souls expansion for Diablo, with new content delivered for both old classes in the game and the new Crusader.

Players can check out an official post from the company to see how the Barbarian can use his Avalanche move to crush enemies, while the rest of the characters can use their own new powers: Demon Hunter – Vengeance, Monk – Epiphany, Witch Doctor – Piranhas and Wizard – Black Hole.

The team explains that, “Mastering these abilities will be no easy task and are sure to raise your game to the next level. But which skill are you looking forward to using the most?”

A poll is available for fans to vote and at the moment, it seems that the Black Hole is the most eagerly awaited new move, with Vengeance a close second.

At the same time, Blizzard is delivering a new short story linked to the new Crusader class that can be enjoyed in the official Game Guide for the character.

A small preview reads: “Gauntleted hands shoved open the inn's front doors with a bang. Swirling ribbons of sand flowed into the common room. Reiter's broom went still. He stared. In the fading twilight, all the boy could see was a silhouette standing in the doorway.”

The narrative focuses on the lifecycle of Anajinn, exploring the lore associated with the class and the origins of the new crusade that her order has embarked upon.

Five other short stories, called Wayfarer, Hatred and Discipline, Unyielding, Doubtwalker and Firefly, are also available for the other classes.

Reaper of Souls for Diablo 3 will be launched on March 25 on the PC and Mac and the development team also has plans to bring it to home consoles later during the year.

The main addition is an entire fifth act of the game for players to explore, with new locations, more powerful enemies and additional items to find and use.

The new Crusader class is also being introduced and will offer players an entirely new set of powers and abilities to play with as they kill undead and bosses.

At the moment, Blizzard is investigating an issue that has led to the disappearance of items, armor and weapons from some character upon game logins and is also considering a rollback for those gamers who lost Hardcore characters to the glitch.
