Most of the changes are linked to loot and Legendary items

Video game developer Blizzard is delivering a new round of hotfixes for Diablo 3 with the Reaper of Souls expansion, designed to make the entire game experience better for players, and announces that it is working on a new patch that will solve a range of other problems it has identified.

The official forum thread from the company states that the core changes are:

- There is now an additional bonus 25% chance to find a Legendary item while in a Nephalem Rift. - The number of chests that spawn in the following zones has been reduced: Core of Arreat, Briarthorn Cemetary, Battlefields of Eternity and Crag of Eternity. - Demonic Vessels were using the incorrect loot table, and now give less generous loot.

Blizzard explains that, “Some of the hotfixes below will go live the moment they are implemented while others may require restarting the game to go into effect. Please keep in mind that some issues cannot be addressed without a client-side patch. Also note that changes to certain abilities will not be reflected in its tooltip until a patch is issued.”

This is the third round of hotfixes that has been delivered to the game and the company is always looking out for ways to improve the Diablo 3 experience.

Blizzard also says that it has two issues that cannot be eliminated via hotfixes and that it will deliver a full patch as soon as possible in order to make sure that Belial always drops the appropriate loot and to lower the number of Mighty Belts and Quivers that gamers seem to be getting from monsters.

The community has so far been very pleased with the launch of Reaper of Souls and with the ways in which the studio has changed the core game mechanics.

Gamers who get the expansion will be able to play through an entire new Act V, filled with monsters and bosses, while also using the Crusader class, which is designed to offer players an innovative way to approach the game.

Diablo 3 is a very different game at the moment, mainly because of Blizzard’s decision to eliminate the Auction House and to introduce a significantly changed Loot 2.0 system, which guarantees that players will get more varied and powerful items to use.

The company has suggested that it might deliver more expansions for the game, based on the reaction that the community has to Reaper of Souls.
