Blizzard has confirmed during a recent investor’s call that the new release window for Diablo III is the second quarter of 2012, meaning you might finally get to see the role playing dungeon crawler sometime between April and June.

Diablo 3 has been awaited by millions of fans for quite some time, with Blizzard taking its time to make sure the game will deliver a near perfect experience. This strive for perfection, however, resulted in quite a few delays, with the most recent one happening last month, when the studio confirmed that it had completely overhauled some of the game’s core systems.

Now, after it was clear that the game wouldn’t make its early 2012 release window, Blizzard has told investors that it hopes to launch Diablo III in the second quarter of 2012, which spans between April and June.

According to the studio, many changes have been made recently, after getting feedback from the community and its internal beta testers, which it hopes “will greatly improve the game experience and ensure that the final release will live up to our high expectations."

Hopefully, we’ll get to hear a narrower release date in the near future.
