Music service Dhingana specializes in Indian and Bollywood music. The start-up has just raised $7 million in Series B funding from Lightspeed Ventures.

The website was started by twin brothers Snehal and Swapnil Shinde. The two are former employees of Yahoo and Symantec. Their dreams was to provide Indian music lovers access to free tunes, legally. They currently operate out of Silicone Valley and India.

According to TechCrunch, Dhingana was founded in 2007, and now included 500,000 songs over 35 different genres. The website is available via a Facebook application, and execs are now looking towards the future, bringing Dhingana to mobile users.

“We will do everything possible to get Dhingana in the hands of every Indian globally and work hard to improve it every week,” makers boast on the Facebook page.
