If season 6 of Showtime's “Dexter” premiered to excellent reviews, expect much bigger things to come – and even bigger surprises. The latest episode teases with the return of two of Dexter's most frightful enemies.

Video of the teaser included at the end of the latest episode is below, but *we strongly recommend not watching it if you don't want spoilers.

The upcoming episode, which will air on November 13, is called “Nebraska,” AceShowbiz informs. It will show Dexter and a long-lost (dead) friend taking a field trip to find what's left of Trinity's family.

As the teaser shows, Brian is back. Granted, Dexter killed him at the end of season 1, so we're not talking about a proper comeback.

Instead, it seems like Dexter's lost brother has turned into his Dark Passenger and will push him to embrace his dark side – that is to say, his darker side, the one he keeps under control with Harry's Code.

At the same time, the series will pick up a story many fans thought was over: that of Rita's death, by bringing the Trinity narrative into the spotlight again.

As it turns out, Trinity, who is believed to have killed Rita a few seasons back, is now survived only by his son and he seems to have started killing women in the same manner preferred by his father.

Dexter must go to Nebraska to find him and, if need be, kill him, but voices online are suggesting that Trinity's son might have killed Rita a while back, which would mean closure on that chapter of our hero's life.

Speaking of Brian in a recent interview, showrunner Scott Buck hinted that his stay on the show would be brief: he's here to do a job and he might actually get to do it.

“[Brian] takes Dexter down a dark journey. [Brian's return] potentially sets Dexter in a direction that Harry would never allow him to go,” Buck said, as cited by AceShowbiz.

“He comes back very quickly and in a very strong way. This all just emphasizes how important Harry and his code really are to who Dexter is,” he added.

“Those things are meant to keep him on the path of being a 'good serial killer', if there is such a thing,” Buck stressed.

Below is the teaser. Enjoy.
