Apple signals that March 31 is developers’ final chance to submit their binary for the grand opening of the iPad App Store

Apple has confirmed via an email sent out to registered developers that March 31 marks the day the company is accepting iPad apps that aim to make the grand opening of the iPad App Store. Developers are being told to submit the binary no later than 5PM PDT today. Those who submit an app after this timeline shouldn’t count on their app appearing in the venue at the time of the grand opening.

“Thank you for submitting your iPad app for the initial review. Follow these steps below to prepare and submit your iPad app for final review and consideration for the grand opening of the iPad App Store,” the latest memo from Apple reads, according to a screenshot posted by 9to5mac. Developers are given the following guidelines:

- Address any issues based on the feedback you received from the App Review Team; - Build and test your iPad app using the iPhone SDK GM Seed from the iPhone Dev Center.

Talking about the aforementioned deadline, Apple is telling code savvy individuals, “Upload your distribution-signed app containing your iPhone Distribution Certificate through iTunes Connect no later than Wednesday, March 31m 5 PM PDT. Submissions received after the deadline will be reviewed but may note make the grand opening.” “The App Review Team will contact you with the final status of your app,” the iPad maker continues to outline, adding that, “We will be testing the iPad app Store to ensure customers have a great experience. Please set the availability date of your app to March 31 when you submit your binary.”

The iPad is scheduled to launch on April 3rd (Saturday) in the US. Apple’s slate-shaped device is set to change the way we browse the web, read books, enjoy music and video, and play games on a mobile device, in accordance with Apple’s prognosis. Many believe the device will be a game changer in many areas of the tech-industry, being capable of addressing needs in the most diverse environments.
