Devon IT is a fast-growing, worldwide provider of thin clients and its partnership with TDIST will further propel its expansion, by increasing its ability to provide better support and increased education and engagement for its customers. TDIST's reseller-partner success is expected to accelerate with the addition of Devon IT's thin client portfolio and the investments in the “Authorized Business Partner Program” will allow Devon IT to gain discounts by including thin clients as part of its hosted desktops.

“For resellers already selling desktops, notebooks and servers, extending their offering to include thin client solutions should provide them with additional revenue opportunities,” Steve Hawes, sales director of TDIST, said. “Thin clients are a perfect complement to the virtualization and wireless technologies being deployed across Europe today. Devon IT’s thin clients answer the calls of an increasing number of customers which are concerned with improving secure access to the network and gaining more efficiency than compared to managing traditional desktops and notebooks across an entire enterprise.”

“TDIST’s success in offering value-added services across a broad reseller base makes it an important partner in meeting our strategy to deliver Devon thin client solutions across all European markets,” Joe Makoid, president, Devon IT, added. “To help accelerate TDIST’s reseller partner success, we have invested in the 'Authorized Business Partner Program' which enables partners to offer Devon thin clients as part of their hosted desktop solution and gain additional discounts.”

Sales, marketing and support programs, which may concern such resellers as part of Devon's Authorized Business Partner Program, include thin clients aimed at demo use (TC2, TC4, TC5, TC10), technical staff training and co-marketing programs and sales training. Devon IT products will also feature bundles and promotional pricing when they become available. Devon also plans to work with IBM in order to assist resellers in reaching the appropriate target companies.
