Eidos Montreal and Square Enix have finally presented more details about the recently confirmed Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, confirming that it uses the Dawn Engine with support for gorgeous visuals, technologies like DirectX 12, and effects like TressFX.

The Deus Ex series has been around for quite some time, winning over many fans in the early 2000s through some very innovative cyberpunk role-playing games. The franchise got back into the spotlight with Human Revolution from Eidos Montreal, and now the next title in the series has just been presented, in the form of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

The title got some leaked details yesterday, alongside an official confirmation, and a fantastic CGI trailer went live earlier today.

Now, Eidos Montreal and Square Enix bring forth actual details about the game and how it will delight fans of the series.

Adam Jensen is back with more augmentations

First up, in terms of the story, Mankind Divided takes place two years after Human Revolution and sees humanity divided between augmented and regular people. Factions from both sides try to wrangle power, and it's up to Adam Jensen, now an anti-terrorist fighter, to stop them from succeeding. He's going to use new augmentations to bolster his skills and visit new locations in the single-player campaign.

In terms of technology, Mankind Divided uses the new Dawn engine from Square Enix, which is specifically built for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game is going to employ the new DirectX 12 tech found in the upcoming Windows 10 on PC and Xbox One. What's more, thanks to AMD, it will also support TressFX for advanced hair simulation.

Expect to hear and see much more of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided in the near future, possibly at E3 2015 in June or Gamescom 2015 in August.

For now, the game has a loose 2016 release period, although a cover is already available and can be found above.
