Eidos Montreal, the developer behind the upcoming Deus Ex: Mankind Divided role-playing experience, confirms that the title will be geared towards multiple play styles, allowing for both stealth and combat-heavy approaches.

The Deus Ex series has been around for quite some time, and with the more recent Human Revolution release, developer Eidos Montreal managed to put the franchise back onto the map in terms of appeal and fanbase.

After a pretty long time, the studio presented a full-fledged sequel earlier this week, in the form of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, which continues the story from Human Revolution, brings back protagonist Adam Jensen, and promises to showcase more great adventures.

Mankind Divided is going to allow for varied approaches

Game Director Jean-Francois Dugas confirms that the new game is going to cater to all sorts of players, telling fans on the PS blog that they shouldn't worry about the RPG forcing them to go full stealth or full combat.

More specifically, the developer emphasizes that Deus Ex games have always featured a choice in terms of play styles and Mankind Divided is no exception. What's more, the studio is going to great lengths to ensure that, no matter the approach, players have a great time with the title.

"DXHR and DXMD aren’t stealth nor combat games. They are what you want them to be. It has always been our goal to let you choose the way you want to approach things. And for me, it is important that combat becomes as satisfying as stealth can be. It’s a question of balancing both approaches in such way that everybody can have fun with the preferred play-style," he explains.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is confirmed to appear on PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms in 2016. Unfortunately, not much else is known about the title and so far there has been no gameplay footage shared with fans. As such, expect Eidos Montreal and Square Enix to continue sharing new things about the game in the future.
