I guess many of you need some extra money to buy yourself or your loved ones Christmas presents. Why get a job when you can play Counter-Strike 1.6 for money? iGames and eSports have just revealed some details about the Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament finals.

This competition is presented by Intel, giving them a chance to advertise their Core 2 Extreme processor. The finals of the competition will be held Saturday and Sunday, December 8 and 9. Good, we wouldn't want Counter-Strike 1.6 to interfere with school, right?

8 iGames member centers, all across the States, will be hosting the finals of the tournament and every CS 1.6 player will be given a chance to shine and show his skills. So if you live in Poway, CA, head on to Computing 101, CyberHub if you are a Levittown, PA, resident and if your home base is in San Jose, CA, you have to find the Euphnet Cyber Cafe v3.

Lexington, KY, dwellers FunkyLAN is the place to be, while Orlando, FL, inhabitants have to head out to Gigabits. The tournament will also have Canadian representatives, as all CS 1.6 players who live in London, ON, have to go to Head 2 Head Games. NETplay is the place designated for Charlotte, NC, players and finally Katy, TX, CS 1.6 enthusiasts will have to go to The Core.

Now that I've revealed where to go, I have to tell you how the show will break down. In the first day of the competition, Saturday, we will see local teams competing against each other, and the winners will advance to Sunday's LAN, double elimination tournament.

The prizes aren't that high, but I must tell that the 1st place winner will get US$ 1,500 in cash. Second place will get US$ 1,000, while 3rd place only US$ 600.
