DFI is reported to prepare the release of a new microATX board, which is announced as being based on the Intel X58 chipset. Word on the web is that DFI is planning to launch the new motherboard sometime in January, next year. According to the news, the DFI X58-T3H6 microATX board comes in a black form, measures 245x245mm in size, and features 4 layers.

The new DFI product is said to sport a 6 phase digital PWM design, and to include support for the LGA1366 processors from 4.8 to 6.4GT/s QPI. The motherboard reportedly provides support for as much as 24GB of DDR3-800/1066/1333 memory modules, as it features 6 DIMM slots. In addition, it also includes two PCIe x16 slots, which are meant to allow both 2-way SLI and Quad Crossfire setups.

However, the specifications list for the board does not end here. The motherboard maker has packed it with one PCIe x4 slot, one PCI slot, 6 SATA ports that allow RAID 0/1/0+1/5 configurations, one IDE port, and Realtek ALC889 high definition audio, while connectivity is available through 12 USB ports and Marvell 8053 GbE LAN.

Besides, the motherboard also includes 7 fan connectors onboard with EZ-On (Power) and EZ-Touch (Reset) switches, as well as a Software Debug LED. The BIOS of the mobo features CMOS Reloaded, Voltage Tuning for Vdimm, Vnb, Vcore, Vsb, and VHT. In addition, it sports 1MHz FSB frequency tuning and adjustable CPU multiplier, as well as the ABS technology system.

The DFI microATX motherboard has been added by the manufacturer to its LanParty family of X58-based mobos that support Intel's next-generation Core i7 processors. There is no specific information on the exact launch date, availability, or price, yet we won't have to wait too long for the company to announce the new details.
