The development team at Bungie is aiming to make the new The Dark Below expansion for Destiny as attractive for the player base as possible, and as the new content is being delivered to those who bought it, the developers are also offering more details on the weapons and items that are being introduced in order to give characters more power and options in battle.

The official Twitter account of the game is offering hints about the way exotic weaponry like the Dragon’s Breath, the Starfire Protocol or the ATS/8 Arachnid can change the way players approach the various encounters in the social shooter.

The company has also been putting codes for both the United States and the European versions of The Dark Below in its messages, allowing some fans to snap up the expansion without paying any money.

The Dark Below is going live at 1 AM Pacific Time, and Bungie has already delivered a patch for Destiny that is designed to deal with some of the bugs that were found during testing and to increase the challenge level for some in-game activities.

The company says that it is ready to listen to all the feedback players will deliver after release, and if any major problems appear, it will try to find their cause and deliver a hotfix as quickly as possible.

The Dark Below and the future of Destiny

Destiny is an ambitious new universe, and in order to keep gamers interested in the long term, the team at Bungie needs to make sure that it regularly introduces more content that they can explore.

The Dark Below is designed to introduce new environments and more enemies to fight against, but the real draw of the expansion is the late game Crota’s End raid, which will introduce the most powerful boss the game has ever seen.

Gamers who want to take him down will have to first level up their character to the new cap and try to get their hands on some of the newly revealed weapons and items, which can give them a fighting chance.

The PlayStation 4 version has access to a unique weapon and a new strike.

Bungie says that it is already working on a second big expansion for Destiny, which is set to be offered during summer of 2015, and there are also rumors that a full sequel is already being planned and might arrive in 2016.
