14 DAY TRIAL // After a really successful PS4 first look alpha for Destiny, Bungie has confirmed the many different exclusive missions, maps, gear, or ships that will be offered to those who get the game on the PS4 or PS3.
Destiny has been aggressively promoted alongside Sony in recent months and this culminated with a PS4-exclusive first look alpha stage that happened over the weekend.
Now, Bungie has revealed on the PS blog the many different exclusive items that will be available for the PS4 and PS3 platforms once Destiny is released officially this September.
PlayStation fans will be on the receiving end of special missions, maps, guns, gear, and ships, in addition to the fact that they'll get early access into the beta stage for Destiny this July.
First up, a special cooperative Strike mission will be offered to PlayStation fans, in the form of the Dust Palace, while a special Exodus Blue competitive multiplayer map will also be included for them. Check out all the details below.
"The Dust Palace Strike is an exclusive three-player cooperative Strike that can be played with friends or match made. You’ll track a Cabal extraction team through the husks of an ancient human skyscraper, the Dust Palace, buried in the shifting dunes of Mars and face a new enemy, the Psion Flayers," the studio said.
"The Exodus Blue competitive multiplayer map is a mid-sized Crucible arena that pairs perfectly with Control and Skirmish game modes. The Exodus Blue, a long-dead vessel, once brought hope and humanity to worlds beyond Earth. Here, Guardians challenge one another, forging a new hope and future in the fires of the Crucible."
Besides these two great additions to the game's already feature-filled list of missions, maps, and adventures, PS3 and PS4 owners will get exclusive armor gear for each of the three classes. Warlocks will get a Manifold Seeker model, while Titans receive the Vanir one. Hunters will be treated to the Argus armor.
Besides the bits of armor, two special weapons, the Monte Carlo assault rifle and the Hawkmoon hand cannon, will also be available on PS3 and PS4.
Three different ships, in the form of Aurora Wake, Crypt Hammer, and Outrageous Fortune, are also available.
