Bungie confirms that Destiny patch 1.2.0 is launching as we speak all around the world, and until the download prompt appears, the official changelog has finally been made available by the studio.

Destiny has been around for quite some time, and while the initial debut version of the multiplayer first-person shooter hasn't exactly delighted all fans, slowly but surely developer Bungie has improved its ambitious online experience.

We've already seen plenty of free updates, not to mention the hefty The Dark Below expansion, and now Bungie is gearing up for the second add-on, House of Wolves, as well as for a major free patch, in the form of version 1.2.0.

The new Destiny update is available right now

After plenty of delays due to a last-minute glitch, the new Destiny patch 1.2.0 is now available for download worldwide, allowing all owners of the game access to its array of improvements and changes.

The patch should go live as we speak across the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms worldwide. While players won't be kicked from their activities by the update, they are advised to head on back to the title screen and await a prompt to download it.

The official changelog confirms many improvements

Until everyone gets the patch, Bungie reveals on its website the official changelog for the update that takes Destiny to version 1.2.0.

All sorts of tweaks and improvements are included, starting with fixes for bugs relating to the Vex Mythoclast, the Hive Disruptor, Phantom Gift, and White Nail perks, not to mention a few other things.

Various changes are also included for the PvP mode and the Tower social zone, while the Vendor Interaction Panel now features better animations and support for quest chains.

Technical problems have also been resolved, relating to Xbox One crashes and network quality.

Check out the full changelog for Destiny patch 1.2.0 below. A smaller hotfix update, taking the game to version 1.2.0.1 is set to debut alongside the House of Wolves expansion next week, on May 19.
