Video game developer Bungie says that it plans to introduce a range of changes for the 1.1.2 update for Destiny, which will deal with the most important issues the end-game raids and the strike missions currently have, with an aim to improve the game experience for all Guardians.

The most recent Weekly Update from the studio explains that the Atheon and the Crota boss battles are the main focus and that all the changes planned will be based on the feedback offered by the community.

At the moment, a full list of patch changes is not available, but Bungie is promising that gamers will be able to deal with both end-game raids without any new bugs getting in the way of the action.

The company is not currently saying whether it will eliminate the exploits that are also associated with Crota and Atheon in order to make the content fairer for all involved player groups.

John Hopson, a user research lead, explains that there are also strikes that are posing major problems for the community, including Cerberus Vae III and Dust Palace.

According to Brenton Woodrow, a production engineer, Bungie is trying to make them a little easier when update 1.1.2 launches.

He adds, "We also felt that the bosses themselves could use some tweaking. We reduced Valus Ta’Aurc’s health by a third and reduced the Psion Flayers’ shields by about 15%. We locked these changes after several playtests with the designers and feel that they bring these encounters in line with the rest of the Strikes."

Player feedback remains important for the future of Destiny

At the moment, Bungie is not offering a clear launch date for update 1.1.2, but the plan is to have it active before the end of April.

The studio has already said that it will also increase the Vault space for weapons in order to prepare gamers for the coming House of Wolves expansion.

There are also changes planned that will make Destiny more accessible to gamers who might have problems with color processing, and another set of changes will affect chat.

Once update 1.1.2 is out, the company will focus most of its resources on the House of Wolves expansion, which is at the moment expected to arrive in the second financial quarter. It is designed to add another end-game raid, more strikes, and a range of weapons and items for gamers to use.
