Gamers will be able to quickly see their reputation

The development team at Bungie is continuing to work on the long-awaited 1.1.1 update for Destiny and the company says that progress is going very well, with its official launch still set for late February, although the exact date has not yet been confirmed.

The Weekly Update from the company explains that there are no plans at the moment to offer a full list of changes before they are finalized, but it does feature some details on the way the user interface of the social shooter will be tweaked.

David Candland, the lead designer of the UI team at Bungie, explains that gamers will be able to see their faction’s reputation in the game without having to go from vendor to vendor, with just a few clicks.

He also says that the inventory in Destiny is another target for an upgrade.

Other changes might be included and there are plans for a larger overhaul after update 1.1.1 for Destiny is live.

Candland adds, “Since reputation really affects your buying power, it made sense to put it in close proximity to your currencies. The inventory screen real estate is pretty full, so using the fly-out convention we established in the settings screen was a way to recoup some space, yet still allow tooltips for another layer of detail.”

The biggest fix that will be included in the new update is linked to the heavy weapon ammo bug, but Bungie is planning to make other tweaks to the game as well, all of them based on the feedback the community has offered.

The update is just a prelude for the launch of House of Wolves

The players are interested in getting updates to fix mechanics that are obviously broken, but their focus is at the moment on the House of Wolves expansion, which might be introduced as early as May 19, according to a leak.

Bungie is saying that it will introduce a range of new content which is equivalent to what was added in The Dark Below.

They are also mentioning that gamers should not pay attention to leaked content from House of Wolves because most of the shown images are outdated.

A bigger content drop for Destiny is set to take place later in the year, designed to expand the universe of the game and significantly change the core gameplay mechanics.
