This might be an early launch for update 1.2.0

It seems that the development team at Bungie is aiming to launch a new patch for its social shooter Destiny at some point tomorrow, although the company is at the moment not offering any sort of details about the changes that will be introduced.

The information comes from the official Support site for the title, but it's somewhat unusual that the company has not made an official announcement on social media or the forums.

The text states, "We will be pushing a patch live tomorrow. Players will be returned to the title screen from their activities and then be required to log in to Destiny again after installing the patch."

The announcement is surprising because Bungie previously only talked about an update 1.2.0 for Destiny, which is supposed to be launched shortly before the House of Wolves expansion is introduced on May 19.

There's a chance that the coming mentioned patch is the big one, being released earlier than expected in order to make sure that the community has time to become accustomed to the tweaks before the massive new content drop arrives.

There's also a possibility that the announcement refers to a smaller patch that's designed to deal with a smaller issue the community has been reporting and which needs to be dealt with as quickly as possible.

Presumably, the development team will offer an official patch log as soon as the game goes down for maintenance.

House of Wolves is the priority for the developers at Bungie

The new expansion will include a lot of content, all of it designed to deal with the fact that Destiny had limited end-game content when it was launched and received limited new features via The Dark Below.

Trials of Osiris will be one of the new game modes, which will allow gamers to equip and then prepare their Guardians before joining a team in order to fight for impressive new rewards.

Later today, Bungie is aiming to deliver full details about the Prison of Elder experience that will also be part of House of Wolves.

The expansion is also adding weapons, items and other tweaks, with update 1.2.0 also introducing a new take on the overall balance of the shooter.

Another expansion for Destiny is expected to arrive later in the year and it might be called The Taken King.
