Bungie is now sharing more details about the upcoming House of Wolves expansion for its Destiny multiplayer online first-person shooter, this time focusing on the Crucible Player-versus-Player content that's set to be included in the add-on, especially the all-new Trials of Osiris weekend events.

Destiny launched back in September, and while its debut was a bit controversial, as some fans felt disappointed with the online shooter experience, the title is currently enjoying a big fan following all around the world across PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

After rolling out the first major expansion, The Dark Below, last December, Bungie is currently getting ready to launch the second one, House of Wolves, in May.

House of Wolves' PvP content is detailed

Now, after hearing about some of the new elements included in the expansion last week, Bungie is now sharing information, via PS blog, about the PvP content that's going to be a part of House of Wolves, from the new maps and rewards, to the special Trials of Osiris weekend events.

First up, the new maps include Black Shield, a mid-sized level set on Phobos, Thieves' Den, which is a close quarters area in the Venus tunnels, and Widow's Court, which presents for the first time in the game Earth's European Dead Zone. Apparently, there's a big departure thematically from the Earth environments in Old Russia.

What's more, PS3 and PS4 owners of Destiny will get a fourth map exclusively for them, in the form of Timekeeper, which brings a close-quarters experience on Mars.

Better rewards and Trials of Osiris are coming to the Crucible

Besides the new maps, House of Wolves is bringing more rewards for players in the competitive Crucible mode. More specifically, double the amount of engrams and marks are going to be awarded, as well as guaranteed goodies for those who participate in the daily featured game.

Trials of Osiris is the main new element coming to the Crucible with House of Wolves, as it's a challenging 3v3 Elimination experience that spans from Friday to Sunday every week. Expect intense affairs across five rounds.

To access the event, you need to buy a Trials Passage from Brother Vance, a new NPC that's found in the Reef, the new social space in House of Wolves. This Passage works like a scorecard and allows fans to access exclusive weapons and armor.

House of Wolves arrives for Destiny on May 19, worldwide.
