Destiny, the new self-described social shooter from developer Bungie and publisher Activision, is once more at the top of the United Kingdom video game sales chart after managing to fend off a very capable challenge coming from a very different experience, Disney Infinity 2.0.

The new first-person shooter experience has already managed to sell more than 325 million dollars (267 million Euro) worth of copies during its first week in stores and it will probably continue to perform very well as the developers eliminate the small number of launch bugs and deliver some more events for the community to engage with.

Destiny is also set to get a first piece of downloadable content for all platforms, called The Dark Below, before the end of the year, which should boost its sales in time for Christmas.

Disney Infinity 2.0 also managed to have a very successful launch in the United Kingdom for the week that ended on September 20, according to UKIE, and managed to take second place, with a new range of interesting characters for gamers to play with, including the heroes from The Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Hyrule Warriors, the game that mixes the classic elements of The Legend of Zelda and mechanics from Dynasty Warriors, has managed to perform well despite being launched exclusively on the Wii U, and it is on the final position on the podium.

No new entries for the rest of the chart

Watch Dogs, the open world title from Ubisoft, is in fourth place at the moment and might gain some positions as the development team delivers a new piece of downloadable content with a new central character and some new cool high tech tools.

The Sims 4 has seen a big drop in its own numbers and has slid from second place last week to fifth, which is still a solid performance given that the title is only offered on the PC.

The Xbox 360 version of Minecraft, the indie title that at the moment is the property of Microsoft, remains stuck to sixth place, and Call of Duty: Ghosts has also seen a big drop and moved to seventh coming from fourth.

The PS3 version of Minecraft is in eight, while the Remastered version of The Last of Us stays in ninth.

The United Kingdom video game chart is closed down by Plants versus Zombies: Garden Warfare.
