14 DAY TRIAL // Bungie announced about a week ago that Destiny's raid Crota's End would get a Hard Mode sometime in January. Well, it looks like the information has just been confirmed as Bungie announced it will launch the new Hard Mode next week.
The release date set by Bungie for Crota's End Hard Mode is January 21 (10AM Pacific), so hardcore players will be able to sink their teeth into the new content in less than week.
With the release of Hard Mode, level 33 will be the new bar to clear, so make sure you configure your upgrades and get on it.
What do you need to do in order to access Crota's End Hard Mode? Simply access the Raid by selecting the activity in your Director and choose harder difficulty.
The only details offered by Bungie regarding the Hard Mode for Crota's End are the fact that players will have fewer options for healing themselves and each other, and that the enemies will be stronger and more prone to temper tantrums.
Obviously, new loot will be available for those who manage to kill Crota on the new Hard Mode. Weapons, ships and shaders will be awarded to those who conquer Crota's End raid on the hardest difficulty.
A new ship and shaders will drop on Hard Mode
Each of the weapons that will drop in the raid has the potential to reach Maximum Attack of 331. Here are some those primary weapons that players will be able to loot in Crota's End Hard Mode: Abyss Defiant, Fang of Ir Yut, Oversoul Edict, Word of Crota.
In addition, the Hard Mode is the only place to obtain Crux of Crota, the final piece needed to upgrade the Eidolon Ally.
A new ship, Bane of the Dark Gods, will be included among the loot with a fair chance of dropping while raiding Crota's End on the hardest difficulty level.
Last but not least, some Hard Mode Exclusive color palette for gear called Glowhoo will drop after downing Crota as well.
Update 1.1.0.4 will set the table on January 20 and patch notes will be published when it's available for download. Beginning next day, January 21, players will be able to access Crota's End Hard Mode.
