The Destiny beta stage that's set to debut this month won't have any sort of non-disclosure agreement, meaning players can share their thoughts, screenshots, or videos, but Bungie has revealed that they can't pick a name in-game that's different from their PlayStation Network or Xbox Live usernames.

Destiny is one of the most anticipated games of the year and developer Bungie is working hard to ensure that the online experience lives up to the hype both during the upcoming beta but also during the actual release of the game in September.

Now, the studio has revealed some more details on its blog, tackling a few key aspects, such as an NDA or the possibility to change your character's name inside the experience.

First up, Bungie Community Manager David Dague has confirmed that the beta stage for Destiny is under no sort of non-disclosure agreement. According to the developer, all participants are free to share their thoughts, their screenshots, or their videos inside the new test phase.

"On July 17, the Beta will be an open stage for your theatrics. I’ll be happy to say this as many times as it needs to be said. You should have seen me chasing down leaks during the Pre-Alpha, or even the Alpha prior to E3," he said.

"The Beta is our time to unite as a community and see who can make the most noise. We want to see who can stream, share, upload, and kick some ass. Become legend, people. Do it live and in front of an adoring public. Tell your friends. Pass it on."

What's more, Dague has also answered a question from a fan concerning the possibility of renaming Guardians inside the experience. Unfortunately, it seems that Bungie made the decision to tie the in-game name to the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live username, so you can't change them separately.

"You are your character in Destiny. In your case, your Guardian will be named F12. If you want your name to be more colorful or personal (i.e. NinjaSniper420, Titan Nick, Robert Paulson) you need to change your identity at the source," he said.

"Our hope is that you have an identity in the game that’s meaningful to you, and that new friends can track you from your favorite Destiny forum to a rendezvous in orbit over your favorite destination."

On the Xbox Live network a username change is possible every few months but, at the moment, the PlayStation Network isn't allowing such a thing, despite pleas from the community.
