A fix will be delivered as soon as possible

The development team at Bungie is ready to acknowledge the fact that there are times when the ammo synthesis packs used by much of the player base do not work as intended, and it is currently investigating the cause of the problem, looking to deliver a full fix as quickly as possible.

No complete solution exists at the moment, but the company is advising gamers to take some steps that might limit the impact of the issue.

The official site states, “Make sure your consumable inventory isn't full, as ‘sitting on’ many Ammo Synthesis stacks may have to do with the issue. If your consumable inventory is looking full, place some Ammo Synthesis stacks in your Vault to help prevent the above-mentioned issue.”

It’s unclear when the ammo synthesis pack issue will be fixed and whether that will require an update for the client of Destiny or work on the game’s servers will be enough.

At the same time, the developers are advising all players currently engaged with the game via Twitter to make sure that they hold on to their Ascendant materials because they will be used in the near future in order to upgrade Legendary items.

More details on the exact mechanics will be offered soon, presumably as the new The Dark Below expansion launches on December 9.

Destiny already features some Crota-related content

The Dark Below is the first full expansion for the social shooter and it is designed to introduce new areas for gamers to explore and to raise the level cap in order to allow characters to become more powerful than ever before.

Moreover, gamers will be able to enjoy an entirely new Raid which allows them to take on Crota, a being of near god-like power who is threatening the entire community and Earth itself.

A recent Twitter message from Bungie also says that the swords associated with the character are already present in Destiny.

Gamers who want to get some time with them need to wait for a special public event which allows them to kill a powerful Knight who will drop a sword.

Gamers can pick it up and then a shift of perspective will happen, permitting them to deliver some very cool moves for a limited period of time.

The Crota’s End Raid will feature more swordplay.

The Dark Below will also include some content which is only offered for those playing on the PlayStation 4.
