Atari's European division has announced that it plans Desperados 2, the sequel of Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, launched in 2001 during the Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines fever, to which he owes a lot.

Commandos clone or not, the game was well received by the critics, especially that the idea of leading a gang in the Wild West delighted many.

Hence, Atari though that it is time for another version. The first version was imputed that it didn't explore the full potential of the idea.

In this sequel, Spellbound, which was also responsible for the first part, promises 3D scenery, new heroes with unique abilities and the most interesting thing: a new perspective. The player will be able to switch from the isometric viewing mode to the third person one, especially during dueling or shooting.

Spellbound proposes a romantic Wild West with ghost cities, canyons, forts and Indian camps and a high level of interactivity with the scenery.

For Europe the release date is somewhere around 2005, but for USA it is unknown.
