This year, Leica is celebrating 100 years since the very first Leica camera that used a 35mm film format was created by Oskar Barnack, in 1914, marking a turning point in photography as we know it.

Inspired by vintage Leica cameras, the simple monocle, color wheel and Leica logo, industrial designer Vincent Säll has created a beautiful concept camera called Leica X3.

The design aims to bring together the best features found in today's smartphones and digital cameras, which translates into a cool-looking camera the size of a lens. The conceptual model is able to instantly transfer pictures to any smart device or PC/Mac via a Bluetooth connection.

The Leica X3 can be turned on by flipping the lens and features a traditional viewfinder, which will display all the information you need regarding shutter speed, aperture, ISO, shooting mode, battery etc.

The concept also features two +/- buttons that allow you to quickly switch between ISO and aperture, a tripod mount and inductive charger. Check out the full details and more pictures on Vincent Säll's website.
