14 DAY TRIAL // Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are still legally married and it's perhaps this that makes her think they still have a chance together. Rihanna dumped Ahston after 8 weeks together when she found out Demi was still in contact with him.
Not only was she texting him on a regular basis, but she was still sending him private photos of herself, Mike Walker writes in his column in the print issue of The National Enquirer (story via CB).
Rihanna saw the texts and the photos on Ashton's phone, flew into a fit of rage and immediately broke off their 8-week fling, Walker claims.
“The buzz leaking from [the] 'Two and a Half Men' dressing room says RiRi freaked and fled in fury after she 'stumbled across' [intimate] pics Demi had texted to Ashton – 'After their breakup!'” the Enquirer writes.
Apparently, Rihanna only agreed to the Kutcher fling thinking everything between him and Demi was over, but seeing the photos made her conclude he was probably not telling her the whole truth.
“Rihanna exploded, telling Ashton in no uncertain terms that she does not want to get involved if there’s the slightest chance of anyone getting abused – physically or emotionally,” an insider explains.
Earlier reports had it that it was Ashton who called the fling off after becoming convinced that Rihanna was tipping off paparazzi as to her whereabouts, thus attracting too much media attention to the romance, as we also noted over the weekend.
Either way, word online has it that it was nothing serious, just two consenting adults spending time together without any other obligation towards each other.
Ashton's 6-year marriage to Demi came crumbling down last year, when a second cheating scandal (in as many years) broke in the press.
After some time trying to make things right again, the actress filed for legal separation and then went to rehab for an alleged substance abuse issue and an eating disorder, while he kept a very low profile.
From what we know, they're still to file divorce papers, which could mean chances of getting back together are better than nil.
