Days before collapsing after smoking an unknown substance, Demi Moore had been painting the town red with her daughter Rumer and her entourage. She's even made passes at Zac Efron, a new report in Us Weekly notes.

Though younger than her soon to be ex-husband Ashton Kutcher, Efron had caught Demi's eye for quite some time, says the mag.

She repeatedly tried to seduce him – and she failed just as many times.

The problem with Demi is, according to the report, that she's nearing 50 and is single again and, most importantly, that she's terrified of growing old.

She believes hanging out with a younger crowd and preferably dating someone as young as Efron (24) would somehow stop the clock from ticking.

“She’s been really down, and she’s surrounding herself with young people to make her feel better. She’s been mixing pills and Red Bulls, among other things,” an unnamed spy says for the publication.

“She calls him and texts him a lot, but he’s not interested at all,” a source tells the mag. “He thinks she’s a creepy cougar.”

Before last week's emergency hospitalization, Demi had been partying hard.

She “literally inserted herself” into her daughter's social circle, has been hanging out with all her friends and even set her mind on seducing Rumer's good friend, Zac Efron.

“She calls him and texts him a lot, but he’s not interested at all. He thinks she’s a creepy cougar,” another spy dishes for the same publication.

“A wired, gaunt Moore 'tracked down' the High School Musical star at a party in LA’s Venice neighborhood, an insider tells Us. 'She seemed out of her mind at this party',” Us writes.

Recent reports claim that Demi is not in rehab now, as previously believed, but seeking some sort of “spiritual counseling” within Kabbalah.

Her whereabouts remain unknown following the emergency hospitalization.
