Just as she was getting her life back on track after the recent stay at a rehabilitation facility, Demi Lovato is again going through a rough patch: her mom also went to rehab shortly after she did, and she’s ended the romance with Wilmer Valderrama.

The Disney star admitted herself to rehab for issues related to an eating disorder and cutting last year, and came out in early 2011 healthy and willing to use her example to help other girls and women in the same situation.

However, the hardship was not over for her, the NY Post says.

“Sources tell us [her mom, Dianna Hart] de la Garza, a former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, was recently forced to get treatment herself and was admitted to rehab at an undisclosed location,” the publication says.

The decision came after Demi completed treatment, but it must still have taken her by surprise since her mom was one of the few persons that she could really depend on while in rehab and through the accompanying media frenzy.

“It has been a tough year for Demi, and her mom has been a constant source of support. But fame has also taken its toll on her family,” a source close to the family tells the Post.

“Now [that] Demi is strong again, her mom could take some time to deal with her own issues,” adds the spy.

Luckily, de la Garza is believed to have completed treatment as well, which means she’s probably back home with her daughter already.

Just in time, because Demi needs all the support she can get, since she’s also broken up with her latest boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama, who also dated Lindsay Lohan once.

“The age difference meant they were in completely different places in their lives,” says the spy.

The two didn’t date for long, having first been spotted as she was fresh out of rehab in February, but word online has it Demi really had a thing for Wilmer.
