Taiwan Mobile and Dell have just announced that the Venue Android smartphone will be soon available in the country. Additionally, the electronics manufacturer unveiled plans to release its 7 and 10-inch tablets in Taiwan, in the coming months.

Along with Streak 5, the Venue is among the first Android smartphones manufactured by Dell. However, while the former was launched on the market last year in June, the Venue made it on the shelves around Christmas 2010.

Since February 2011 Dell Venue is available for purchase from Dell’s web store for $499.99 off-contract. However, there are two versions up for buying, one that would offer support for AT&T's 3G network, while the second fully supports T-Mobile's 3G network.

Unfortunately, neither of the two carriers is currently offering the Dell Venue, with or without contract, which means that potential customers won't be able to get it for less than the suggested retail price.

Spec-wise, Dell Venue is pretty tempting as it comes with a large 4.1-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16 million colors and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

Furthermore, the specifications list of the smartphone include a 1GHz Qualcomm QSD 8250 Snapdragon processor (with Adreno 200 GPU), along with 1 GB of internal memory, and with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

Unlike Dell, it is unclear if the Taiwanese carrier would also include a 16GB microSD memory card in the sales package.

The device comes to the market with a 1400 mAh battery packed inside, which hasn't been rated by the manufacturer yet.

Dell Venue also offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR and microUSB connectivity, as well as 3.5 mm audio port and GPS with AGPS support.

The features list of this smartphone would also include support for H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, WMV video, Microsoft Exchange, Native IM.
