After launching its budget Venue 7 and Venue 8 tablets in markets like the US, device manufacturer Dell is unleashing the slates on the Indian market.

So interested customers looking to jump on board of the Venue bandwagon can now purchase the 7-incher for Rs 10,999 / $179 / €132 while the 8-incher is available for Rs 17,499 / $284 / €209 (via AndroidOS).

The Dell Venue 7 comes sporting an IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and draws power from a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2760 processor from the Clover Trail family combined with 2GB of RAM and backed up by 16GB of internal memory (expandable to 32GB via micro SD card).

The slate will allow mobility seekers to carry it around effortlessly wherever they go, as the Venue 7 weighs only 235 g / 0.5 lbs and is 9.8 mm / 0.3 inches thick.

With this model, Dell offers dual cameras (3MP on the back and 0.3MP VGA up in front), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack.

The tablet bundles a 4100 mAh battery and Dell says this should be enough to get 10 hours of HD video playback.

Moving on to the Venue 8, the tablet features an IPS display with the same resolution (1280 x 800 pixels) and draws life from the same type of processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB internal memory.

Als,o here we find dual cameras, that offer slightly better capabilities in the photo department (5MP auto focus rear snapper with 1080p HD video recording and 2MP front camera).

Compared to the 7-inch model, this tablet is a tad heavier, weighing 290 g / 0.6 lbs and being 9.9 mm / 0.3 inches thick. Other functionalities include Wi-Fi 802 11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS and optional 3G. We also have the same battery capable of pumping 10 hours of life.

Both tablets run Android 4.2 out of the box, but keep in mind that Dell has pushed the Android 4.3 update, which will probably arrive in India too.
