September might just become a month of new products, coming from a considerable number of companies and spanning across a wide range of segments. With Intel's new, Lynnfield-based Core i5 and Core i7 just announced, PC vendors will have their hands full, and announce new products that will be based on the said platform. On that note, Round Rock, Texas-based Dell, one of the world's leading vendors of computer systems, has recently posted a teaser photo of an upcoming Adamo laptop that will apparently boast a unique, ultra-slim design.

This isn't the first time that Dell resorts to this type of marketing schemes, the introduction of the Adamo laptop has been highly anticipated thanks to a couple of teasers that the PC vendor put up prior to the official debut. It now appears that Dell is at it again, with a new laptop that should be announced sometime in the future.

Unfortunately, as it is with most of these teasers, there aren't many details available at this time. The dedicated web page that has been put into place for the said laptop showcases the profile of what appears to be a silver laptop and details of an alleged 9.99mm thickness.

When it was initially launched, the Adamo was said to become a MacBook Air competitor, boasting Intel's latest, ultra-low voltage processors and coming to provide users with a sleek and ultra-thin design. The system is currently available in two colors, boasting a 13.4-inch display and being available for a few hundred dollars more than the typical, CULV-based laptop.

The current Adamo laptop boasts a thickness of 0.65 inches, meaning that, at 9.99mm, the upcoming model should be noticeably thinner, which only raises questions regarding the hardware platform upon which this laptop has been built. Unfortunately, at this time, we only have the questions and waiting for Dell to provide us with some answers.
