Since Intel has managed to put the whole Cougar Point (Intel 6 Series) problem behind it and is currently rolling out new and perfectly working chipsets, we're most likely going to see multiple products based on this technology hit the market, starting with Dell.

In fact, the computer manufacturers has just issued a fairly interesting press-release (or better said, “tease-release”), informing us that they plan to introduce some new Intel 6 Series chipsets (Cougar Point) as soon as next week.

To be perfectly honest (and also, just a tad critical), Dell's statement is a bit self-entitling, providing all sorts of information pertaining to its 2011 releases, as well as their commitment to offering customers a very good experience.

However, they also provide a couple of interesting bits of information related to their future plans, the company's reps revealing the fact that they're actually preparing a couple of very interesting novelties to be unveiled later-on, over the course of 2011.

So, beside the new Inspiron notebooks, set to be revealed next week, the company's also working on what they tout to be an “innovative new form factor that will debut this spring," presumably either some sort of tablet or, who knows, maybe a replacement for the now dead Adamo series, although that wouldn't really qualify as an “innovative” and brand-new form factor.

But this seems to be just the tip of the iceberg, Dell's plans for 2011 including multiple Sandy Bridge-based solutions for business customers, including here a couple of Latitude laptops, OptiPlex desktop models, as well some Precision workstations (in both desktop and mobile versions).

Unfortunately, that's about as far as Dell's been willing to go on the details related to their future systems, which means that we'll probably have to wait until next week in order to see what's what, at least as far as the brand-new Inspirons are concerned.
