Dell announced today the launch of a new desktop computer system that is designed for flexibility and easy management allowing customers to reach high business efficiency. The OptiPlex 755 desktop system is also rated by the EPEAT (Electronic Products Environmental Assessment Tool) with a gold rating while being of course Energy Star 4.0 compliant.

"Our commitment to customers is to eliminate complexity throughout the lifecycle of their IT assets," said Darrel Ward, director, Dell Product Group, who was cited in a company's press release. "We designed the OptiPlex 755 to be the most flexible and versatile business desktop available to date with innovations in systems management, eco-design and services." Dell hopes the OptiPlex 755 desktop computer system will be one of the machines that will help reduce the total number of service related visits from maintenance personal. In order to make the best possible business centered computer, Dell built the OptiPlex 755 system around Intel's vPro technology that includes advanced remote management features as well as extended security policies and self diagnostics tools.

As all businesses become interested in the green side of the computer technology, the OptiPlex 755 computer system is based on Dell's promise of becoming a very energy efficient computer hardware vendor. As the company has a complete line up of products that are compliant with the Energy Star 4.0 energy efficiency standard while being also rated high by EPEAT, it is no surprise that Dell claims that its OptiPlex system will cut energy costs by 78 percent.

The line of computer systems designed for office and business use is going to see another member in October when Dell will launch the notebook Latitude D630c which is based on Intel Centrino Pro technology, the mobile technology that is similar to the Intel vPro one that is used for desktop systems. The OptiPlex 755 computer system is already available in stores and it sports a price tag of $632.
