Dell today released its latest Dell Wireless 5700 Mobile Broadband ExpressCard developed for Verizon EVO which can be now integrated into any notebook, informs Notebook Review.

The Wireless 5700 Mobile Broadband ExpressCard is said to offer an enhanced flexibility and productivity because of its Evolution-Data Optimized (EV DO) wireless technology support.

"Many manufacturers have now switched to including ExpressCard slots in notebooks instead of PCMCIA slots, but accessories have been slow to arrive. This new Dell 5700 EVDO card is welcome news to those that have been waiting for more ExpressCard options to come about. Even better is that this card is ExpressCard/34 so that it will work in the smaller slots that ultraportables generally have," comments Notebook Review.

Dell Wireless 5700 Mobile Broadband ExpressCard can be purchased for $179 along with a Dell notebook or independently through Dell Software and Peripherals. It seems that, Dell Wireless 5700 ExpressCard's users will also have a 30 days free Verizon Wireless's BroadbandAccess.

If you are interested, a full Verizon subscription costs $80/month, if you are 'new in town', and $59.99/month if you are already a Verizon customer. But you can also pay for every access - $15 for 24 hours of access. For further information visit: http://news.vzw.com/news/2006/03/pr2006-03-29.html.

Earlier this month, Dell has adopted a new strategy in order to take back its market share, as challengers such as Hewlett-Packard and Lenovo have adopted a profitable approach, cutting prices on PCs and servers, according to Information Week.

The manufacturer already released a new generation of servers and storage systems, and it is expected to cut prices and add 2,000 customer service representatives. But the main achievement was the agreement signed with Google, the leader in Web search and advertising.
