Rumors about the newest gaming notebooks from Dell's Alienware line have been circulating quite well on the web this past month, and it looks like the official word has now arrived.

Even if a product is listed by online retailers or given a product page on its maker's website, it can't really be said to have officially debuted until said maker issues a press release, usually anyway.

Granted, some minor devices may get quietly introduced, but large-profile ones, like the members of the Dell Alienware line, will always get PR attention.

Speaking of this, it looks like the company really did release three new machines, one of which is a revision of the M11x.

The refreshed M11x (M11x R3) is an 11.6-inch product with a Sandy Bridge, second-generation Core CPU, the NVIDIA GeForce GT 540M discrete graphics, up to 16GB of RAM (1,333 MHz) and a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels (HD).

The M14x, measuring 14-inches (as the name implies), also has Sandy Bridge CPU options, plus the GeForce GT 555M (up to 3 GB VRAM) and up to 8 GB of RAM (1,600 MHz) and the possibility of a better display (1,600 x 900 pixels).

The third and best of them is the M18x, which has an 18.4-inch FHD WLED 1080p display, strong processors (up to Core i7 quad-core), dual-GPU graphics options (both AMD and NVIDIA) and up to 32 GB of DDR3 RAM.

"If you're a gamer, you're going to love our new family of laptops, which deliver on the features gamers care most about – uncompromised graphics performance, latency-free wireless HD streaming to HDTVs, and lifelike 3D gaming," said Arthur Lewis, general manager of Alienware.

"We are committed to delivering the best gaming systems for enthusiasts everywhere and we take great pride in helping them 'pwn', no matter where they are in the world."
