Dell's U3011 30-inch IPS monitor may have been listed several days back, but the company has finally gotten around to making the official announcement, describing its new display as adaptable to many professions thanks to its color precision.

The display has a screens size of 30 inches and an IPS panel, whose native resolution is of a full 2,560 x 1,600 pixels.

This resolution is meant to improve productivity by making handling multiple large projects easier, thanks to the maximized workspace.

This resolution is complemented by the brightness of 370 cd/m2 and the G2G (gray to gray) response time of 7 ms.

Dell also implemented a dynamic contrast ratio (DCR) of 100,000:1, as well as 12 bit internal processing and the PremierColor technology.

This combination of elements is meant to bring to the equation high color depth of 1.07 billion colors and, of course, sharp contrasts.

Finally, for a full range of benefits, the company made its latest creation worthy of gaining the Energy Star 5.0 and EPEAT Silver certifications.

“We built the Dell UltraSharp U3011 to give people outstanding front of screen experience and great energy efficiency,” Greg Jiongo, Dell Displays Global Product Marketing Manager.

“Many different professions demand high-end performance from their displays and with the Dell UltraSharp U3011 we’re giving them the performance and the flexibility they need, allowing our customers to focus on their passion and work.”

Dell hopes to see this product used in such areas as medical applications, graphic design, computer aided design and manufacturing, animation and desktop publishing, among others.

“The Dell UltraSharp U3011 gives users extremely clear and accurate images allowing them to create, build and focus on their tasks with full confidence they are seeing the precise colors they need,” states the press release.

Those interested will have to part with $1,499 should they actually decide to buy one of these 30-inch creatures.
