Dell did not just unleash the new Inspiron One 23 all-in-one, but has also provided the Home Theater PC market with the Inspiron Zino HD, its latest HTPC offering based on a quad-core AMD Phenom II CPU.

The newcomer could be said to be equipped with hardware that is somewhat above the league that HTPCs usually operate in.

The first hint is the quad-core Phenom II central processing unit from Advanced Micro Devices that powers its configuration.

The second element is the possibility of adding a discrete graphics card with 1GB of memory, hardware which even allows for a decent level of gaming prowess besides just multimedia.

The official press release goes on to mentioning that the system comes, as expected, with built-in networking capabilities and a media card reader.

This will let owners instantly enjoy their videos and photos, while the internal hard disk drive of up to 1TB makes sure to always have enough space for a suitable collection of multimedia files.

What's more, the system boasts THX 7.1 surround sound, as well as a Blu-ray Disk combo drive, for optical storage and, obviously, playback of Blu-ray content.

Not only that, but Dell even implemented a VGA and HDMI connectors, so that not just monitors, but also TVs may be connected to the Zino HD.

A final asset of the Inspiron Zino HD is that it can benefit from the wireless keyboard and IR remote control, so that TV viewing or web surfing can be controlled form a distance.

"The PC is at the hub of the family experience, and the new Inspiron One and Zino HD demonstrate how we are rapidly redefining the role of the desktop in the home," said Michael Tatelman, Dell vice president and general manager, Dell consumer sales and marketing.

"The innovative all-in-one and ultra small desktops fit anywhere in the home and deliver the unrivaled entertainment that families and students have told us they want," he added.

The Dell Inspiron Zino HD is already selling through Dell's website, priced at $299 and with three lid color options.
