Coming to reinforce its maker's Inspiron line of mobile computers, the 15R Alloy Edition has now been added to Dell's website, where it can show off its Alloy Waves design and competent hardware that should be able to handle both HD media and gaming.

Dell's Inspiron line is the collection of laptops meant to address the needs of a wide variety of consumers.

The new model that the company has prepared tries to offer something more unusual in terms of design, so it went for the Alloy Waves pattern.

The aesthetic value of this theme is, as always, subjective, since users will always be receptive to different things.

The hardware side of things, however, is not overly different from what the rest of the Inspiron series is known for.

The 15.6-inch display with a native resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels (HD) is handled either by the integrated Intel HD graphics or an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 video board.

There is also a solid memory amount, of up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM to be exact, as well as a hard disk drive with an internal storage capacity of up to 750 GB.

The system memory runs at 1,333 MHz and Dell even threw in SRS Premium Sound, a pair of 2W speakers, a DVD writer or optional Blu-ray drive and a 6 cell 48 WHr Li-Ion or, again optionally, a 9 cell 90 WHr Li-Ion Battery.

The maximum battery life that can be achieved is of 7 hours and 58 minutes. Other specifications include a 1,3 megapixel webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth (optional), a 7-in-1 card reader, a HDMI port, USB 2.0, eSATA and, of course, LAN.

The Dell 15R Alloy Edition can be seen in detail on the product page that now exists on Dell's website but has, unfortunately, not been given a price as of yet.
