Dell's recently introduced Inspiron 1525 multimedia notebook comes with more than Blu-Ray capabilities out of the box, such as a huge price difference you have to pay if you're not that fortunate to have been born in the US.

The system vendor has introduced its multimedia notebook on both US and UK markets, and felt compelled to issue a press release for each country. That would have slipped unnoticed if the two press releases had held the same information on the notebook.

US customers have been announced that the Blu-Ray-equipped multimedia notebook is ready for snatching at a reasonable price of $879. However, the press release issued for the United Kingdom market claims that pricing starts at an amazing "?729 including VAT and delivery".

This means that UK-based users can purchase the Inspiron 1525 notebook at "just" ?287 more than the customers on the American continent. We know that the ocean is pretty wide, which adds some bucks to transportation and that there are both sales taxes and currency fluctuations, but paying 60 percent over its initial price seems a little bit too much.

Dell was not available for comments as of the moment of writing.

As previously reported, Dell's Inspiron 1525 comes in a 15-inch form factor and is capable to reach a maximum screen resolution of 1,280x 800. The other technical specifications are not that impressive, given the fact that it comes with just one GB of system RAM, an integrated GMA X3100 graphics accelerator and 80 GB of conventional hard-disk drive to meet the users' storage needs.

However, the notebook comes in a variety of colors to go along with your outfit, including designs like Chill, Blossom and Commotion, or a spectrum of vibrant colors, like Sunshine Yellow, Midnight Blue and Ruby Red.
