14 DAY TRIAL // Developer and publisher Trion Worlds has announced that its MMO Defiance will get its third beta weekend on the PlayStation 3 from Sony, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PC, giving fans a chance to see what the game has to offer before launch.
The complete schedule is:
PlayStation 3 in North America - March 19th 8:00am PDT – March 25th 9:00p, PDT PlayStation 3 in Europe: March 20th 8:00am PDT – March 26th 9:00p, PDT PC everywhere: March 22nd 9:00am PDT – March 24th 9:00pm PDT Xbox 360 all over the world: March 25th 8:00am PDT – March 26th 9:00pm PDT
The team states that gamers will be able to explore Mt. Tam and the Madera region with a number of cooperative events on Angel Island and near the Cronkhite Bunker.
It adds, “For Ark Hunters looking to test their might in some competitive multiplayer action, the Freight yard and Observatory will provide opportunities to prove themselves worthy of Von Bach Industries’ recruitment.”
Trion Worlds also announces that those who pre-order the game will get access to an in-game Dodge Challenger that can be tested during the beta weekend.
The car is designed to be the fastest vehicle available in Defiance and players will be able to use it to complete time trial challenge and to get from one point of the world to another faster than their peers.
Defiance is a special project because the world will be used by the Trion Worlds developed MMO and by a television series that will air at the same time on the Syfy channel.
Episodes will feature content and information that will be important for players, who will be invited to then act in the game in such a manner as to influence the storyline.
Defiance is set to launch on all platforms on April 2 of this year.
