Trion Worlds' massively multiplayer sci-fi role-playing game Defiance just got its third expansion, 7th Legion, introducing a host of new content and fixes.

The Defiance 7th Legion DLC will allow players to join the elite forces of Yoshida Hiro and take part in the war at the New Frontier, as DLCentral informs.

Players will participate in the fight to liberate Paradise, making use of the new weapons and armor devised by the empire.

Players will benefit from the Special Recruit Kit, representing an outfit, gear and title to get them started on their path to becoming an honored member of Yoshida Hiro's 7th Legion, making use of the unique fighting style and weapons and synergies.

New hybrid Human-Votan tech shields will allow players to take down their enemies easier than ever, as they make their way to the Bay Area.

Additional content includes a completely overhauled chat system that eliminates the prior clunky and unwieldy interface, now being seamlessly integrated with the gameplay and making it easy to discern who is talking where.

A new kind of dynamic zone event has also been implemented, and Incursions will appear on the world map, offering players new challenges.

The add-on is priced at $10 / £8 / €10, but Season Pass holders can download it for no extra charge from Xbox Live, as can PlayStation 3 players, from the PSN.

Defiance is available for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, available for download for all Season Pass holders. PS3 owners without a Season Pass will have to wait until the DLC becomes available on February 18 for North America and February 19 for Europe.
