Another exciting title for the Nintendo DS

If you enjoyed games like Tamagotchi, where you had to take care of a virtual pet, just as if it was a real living and breathing being, you will definitely love Deep Silver and Game Life's latest title - Baby Life, a simulation somewhat similar with the Tamagotchi games but clearly more complex and probably even more fun. The game is a Nintendo DS exclusive and it will hit the store stands by the end of the year.

So, as I was saying, in Baby Life, players take charge of their own virtual babies. The interesting thing is that Deep Silver promises to keep the game as real as possible - there are more than 3 million babies that can be created using different types of "genetic material" that, hopefully, comes with the game and is 100% virtual. Anyway, the developers promise that each baby will be unique, both physically and mentally and he or she will behave very realistically. I don't even know right now if I should say "scary" or "super cool!"

"We are confident that Baby Life will astonish the market by its quality and high playability, our target is to deliver real fun with the most lovely hero you can have in a videogame: a Baby," says Emmanuel Drouin, managing director of Game Life.

The "hero" will have to grow up from 9 to 15 months, with your help, of course: you will teach the baby to speak, move and behave better and better, while using over 100 items of clothing - either for them or for trade purposes with other players via Wi-Fi. Baby Life also comes with a secondary game mode, which will allow you to baby-sit up to four children at once, but the developers did not give many details about this game mode. So we don't know for sure if you'll get randomly generated babies, "imported" ones via Wi-Fi or your own toddlers. Guess we'll see by the end of the year.
