iPhone users debating which copy-paste tool is better

Currently, there are three working solutions for copy-and-paste on the iPhoneClippy, hClipboard and Copier. The first has been previously discussed here on Softpedia, with predominantly positive reactions coming from iPhone owners.

Clippy and the other two copy-paste tools (hClipboard and Copier) are the subject of debate over at modmyi forums. Several users are reporting that each solution has its advantages and disadvantages. So, the question remains, which copy-paste solution is the best?

“The updated Clippy has the ability to copy text that is not necessarily in the text field eg received sms messages. It also has a new stack clipboard,” says thread starter ifini. “But the new double tap to copy is finicky when it comes to accurately double tap and where you exactly want to start copying. hClipboard does a better job at copying specific lines of text,” the user claims.

Adding that “Clippy always shows the menu bar over the text window in sms so I have to take an additional step to click close in order to see what number or punctuation I am typing,” the user believes hClipboard is the way to go, as it only activates the functionality when pressing the globe icon.

Another user claims he gave up on Clippy when he saw that hClipboard doesn't take up screen space. He was also impressed with how “hClipboard has more diversity in copying crap,” noting that he hadn't gotten his hands on Copier just yet.

However, one user claims Clippy works just how he wants it to. “Clippy for sure,” says iChopPryde. “It works just how I want Copy and Paste to work on an iphone [sic]. I just now need it to do webpages which is the only reason I have hclipboard [sic] still installed once clippy [sic] does this I will uninstall hclipboard [sic]. The new .93 update adds great ability to copying sms text and the clipboard method I really enjoy. Please just get webpages working and it is perfect,” the post ends.

Anyone here using Clippy or hClipboard? What about Copier – has anyone tried it yet? Softpedia doesn't condone jailbreaking / unlocking the iPhone / iPod touch or any other device.
