The Decibel Festival week starts tomorrow, as well as the 7th Annual Decibel Conference, and it will be held in Seattle, September 22 - 26.

The dB Conference, held at the same time as the Decibel Festival program, is an educational series of panels, screenings and workshops free of charge to the general public.

This event aims to provide a space where artists, professionals and the public can exchange knowledge and create a supportive, creative community.

Here are some Windows-related events: from Wednesday to Friday, KEXP’s Darek Mazzone and Windows DJ Dave Pezzner will be sharing their art at the 7th annual Decibel Conference (dB Conference).

This is actually the educational part of the Festival, and this year’s Conference presenting partner is Windows 7, who will also sponsor four workshops with Festival partners on how anyone can use the Windows platform to release their inner artist and create music.

On Friday people can visit the Windows Lounge at Sole Repair, between 11am and 8pm, and test the HP Envy Beats 14, the Asus David Lewis, the Dell Studio XPS and the Toshiba Satellite A665-3DV.

The complete program of the Festival can be found here, and Dave and Darek will be in the following locations: on Wednesday, Darek Mazzone will be at the dB Opening Gala, at Pravda Studios from 9-10 pm, along with Ean Golden, Kris Moon and Introcut.

On Thursday, Dave Pezzner will host the “From the Studio to the Stage” event at 2:30 pm, at Pravda Studios.

Windows DJ Dave Pezzner will talk about his live performance and about the process of adapting the tracks, from FL Studio to Ableton to the stage.

On Saturday, he will host the Late Night Soul Kitchen, from 2-3 am, along with Theo Parrish, Soul Clap and Subliminal Imaging.

Pravda Studios will be hosting Will Call for Decibel Festival 2010 from Wednesday, September 22, to Friday, September 24, between Noon and Midnight each day.

The Windows Blog team went down to KEXP, several days ago and talked with Darek about what the PC means for music.
